White Water Rafting
As it is well known that Nepal has eight out of fourteen highest peaks in the world. As the rivers cascade from the highest terrain and rush to the great plains of the Ganges, they seem to be greater rush than their counterparts in other parts of the world as they descend faster ensuring a thrilling ride.
The rivers in Nepal are classified into three categories based on their point of origin. Usually, from the perspective of rafting, we suggest first category which itself comprises three river systems, as the rivers descend straight from the mountains, with speed unmatched by the second and third category river systems.
Koshi, Gandaki and Karnali river systems belong to first category and all of them have their point of origin in pristine glaciers from the highest parts of Nepal. Some of the popular rivers, like Arun and Sunkoshi originate in Tibet. All of the rivers belonging to these rivet systems are greatly popular and rightly so, because of their speed, the altitude they descend from and the valleys around them. Among them, most noteable rivers are, Sunkoshi, Karnali, Marshyangdi, Kali Gandaki, Trisuli, Bhote koshi, etc.
