Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek is not a mainstream trekking destination when compared to Everest base camp trek and Annapurna base camp trek. Which is to say, it is not as crowded and still remains unspoiled from the unwanted tentacles of modernity. As such, you can experience untouched natural beauty, authentic ethnic foods and unique lifestyles in its traditional form during this trek. Kanchenjunga circuit is protected under the Kanchenjunga conservation area project and this has ensured that the conservation of endangered species of flora and fauna has been a high priority. The area boasts several animal species like musk deer, snow leopard, sloth bear, civet, Himalayan black bear, red panda, Tibetan wild ass, Himalayan blue sheep, goral and takin, as well as reptiles including Russell’s viper.
